Registered Pharmacy Technician, Packaging

Custom Health is seeking a Pharmacy Packaging Assistant to be part of our amazing team!

Custom Health provides a comprehensive tech-enabled med management and managed care solution resulting in 98% medication adherence for our patients across the United States and Canada. Operations are powered by proprietary software which orchestrates: i) fully automated owned and network pharmacies, ii) at-home medication management solutions, iii) real-time clinical oversight by 200+ pharmacist-lead clinicians, and iv) the collection of real-time, real-world data and insights.
What you'll do!
- Work with other members of the Packaging Validation Team to ensure optimal workflow of packaging files received from all sources* are packed and ready for delivery in a timely manner:
- *Pack4U Pharmacy Direct patients (LTC and spencer)
- *Pack4U Central Fill patients
- Work with other members of the Packaging Validation Team to verify** all medications dispensed, using PacVision for Multidose strips and manual checking for unit dose and non-strip medications
- **Verification includes right medication/dose/strength/format/time/patient/prescriber and any other relevant parameters AND
- Any delivery notes, original prescription files, and other information included with the item(s) you are checking, to ensure that they are delivered to the patient or agent at the right address/date/time, along with other items for the same patient if applicable, and with any auxiliary information that should be included
- Communicate Effectively with all internal teams including:
- Pack4U Management, Data Entry, and Delivery Teams
- Communicate Effectively with all external clients including:
- Client Pharmacies
- Spencer Patients and LTC Clients where appropriate
- Participate in Ongoing Training from Technology Partners including McKesson, Spencer Health Solutions, and others as applicable
- Effectively use all communication means including:
- Telephone, text where applicable
- Company email
- Software communication platforms including Microsoft Teams, Adherenet, and others as applicable
- Participate in all applicable meetings in person or via Microsoft Teams or other applicable platform, on a daily basis and as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification/Skills/Experience:
- Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician in ON.
- Experience in long term care pharmacies is a plus.
- Experience with Kroll software is an asset.
- Strong, self-directed work ethic and the ability to multi-task are a must.
- Independent thinking and ability to solve problems.
- High attention to detail while being efficient and able to manage time.
- Quick learner and ability to adapt to new information and routines.
